From our first guest blogger: choc
Stamps are more than a piece of paper you stick on an envelope. They are fantastic collector’s items. Some stamps are worth lots of money. Some stamps are printed for celebrations e.g. Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, Easter. Stamps are one of the most popular hobbies in the world!! Some people collect one kind of stamps e.g. Football stamps, or others collect all kinds of stamps. So give stamp collecting a go. See how far you can go! What do you think of stamps?

From Miss W: What name do you give to a person who collects stamps?
What is the study of stamps called?

Well done choc. This was a great effort for your first post. We will need to find out what font to use, so it doesn’t all have to be in bold. Also sorry the picture you sent with your post is not included but you had sent a bitmap and that won’t upload. I hope this jpeg photo about organ donation is alright to use as it relates to BTN which we saw. Notice I also included the source of the photo. Remember anything we use which is not our own personal photo, we have to acknowledge where we got it from.

hi choc I really enjoyed your post about stamps for I am a stamp collector my self!
Hi pina and choc. I used to collect stamps as well. I have mainly Australian ones but I also have quite a collection from overseas. My dad’s foster father left me all his stamps which are some of the early kangaroos etc and also some labelled Tasmania pre 1900.

hello our class is going around and comenting on other primary classes blogs i like your blog and think its going really well.
Hi Shaelyn, I think the class blog is going well. Many of the boys like writing comments and some of the students, like choc, are starting to write their own posts as well.
Do you have your own blog or a class blog like we have?

I think stamps are great. i use to collect them i had 7 527 974 987 969 stamps
Wow Cain, I had to check how many stamps you had. Nearly 8 billion stamps …. if you have 50 stamps per page in the album and the album has 40 pages that means you have 4 thousand million albums. Where do you store all these albums?
I think you might be kidding me with the number of stamps you have collected.
